How it works: Well many providers have many different rules. Generally speaking in order to qualify for cash back, you will have to pay of your balance in full every month.

You should be aware though, some cash back credit card providers only offer cash back for purchases made through selected retailers or purchases over a specific amount. So be sure to check that you are getting the right deal for you and that you intend to spend that amount in order to qualify for cash back.

Also note that credit cards with cash back incentives often have relatively high interest rates, and if you do not pay of the balance by the payment date, you will pay a great deal more later on.
